Community Service Project - Fisher House at Murfreesboro, TN The Fisher House program is a private-public partnership that supports America’s military in their time of need. The program recognizes the special sacrifices of our men and women in uniform and the hardships of military service by meeting a humanitarian need beyond that normally provided by the Department of Defense and Veterans Affairs.
The Fisher House in Murfreesboro, TN will be a 21-room facility for families of sick/wounded veterans at the Alvin C York VA Medical Center in Murfreesboro, TN. The Fisher House will become (plans to open by 2010) the “home away from home” for families to stay while they visit their loved on who is a patient at either the Alvin C York VA Medical Center in Murfreesboro, TN or the VA Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Their stay at the Fisher House is FREE!
Donations can be made to the Fisher House during the “Rhinestones & Denim” meeting and breakfast. For more information visit the Fisher House website at http://www.fisherhousemiddletn.org/index.html.
Fund Raiser In order to continue to fund the annual scholarship program, we will be having our annual SILENT AUCTION. If you would like to donate items or know someone that would be willing to do so and/or need additional information, contact Claire Maxwell, Fundraising Chair at
