As the Association progresses into its 84th year, changes are taking place constantly within the Guard arena and it is important that we keep our members abreast of these changes.    As the old saying goes, “we have come a long way baby.”  The National Guard has advanced to a status of upmost respect within the military branches as a vital part of the Total Force and we are playing a major role in the War on Terrorism.   We cannot look back, but we must keep our eye on the future and continue to assert to the National Leadership the need for providing our units with the most updated equipment and benefits that our soldiers and airman have earned and deserve. 

The purpose of the National Guard Association of Tennessee is to promote and support adequate National Security; to promote the common welfare of the members of the Tennessee National Guard; to promote the Association, by friendship, understanding, and cooperation among all members; and to foster and promote the National Guard Association of Tennessee and the National Guard Association of the United States in our relations with the general public.  As long as we have your support, we can continue to live up to these standards.

We hope that you will visit this website often, as our aim is to keep you informed.  Also, we want to take this opportunity to say Thank You for your membership and making this Association one of the strongest in the Nation.  We can proudly boast 100% membership for the past six years and WE ARE the number one contributor of membership to the National Guard Association of the United States.   The Volunteer spirit continues in the Tennessee National Guard.
