The National Guard Association of Tennessee respectfully requests your support and assistance in the collection of the annual membership dues for the National Guard Association of Tennessee (NGAT), and for the National Guard Association of the United States (NGAUS).

NGAT has made great improvement in collecting annual membership dues for NGAT and NGAUS and during the past year we achieved 100% of our eligible active membership for the sixth consecutive year. We sincerely appreciate your support of these organizations, and are hopeful that we can continue to maintain 100% of all eligible officers and warrant officers assigned to your unit.

Please remember that the NGAUS, and NGAT Membership year will run 1 JAN - 31 DEC each year.

Annual Member Dues for the NGAUS and NGAT are as follows:

The same rates apply to all Army and Air National Guard members whether presently assigned State Duty, in attendance at service schools, on Active Federal Service, or in the Inactive National Guard. Officer’s and Warrant Officers commissioned in 2008 are authorized free membership for CY 2009.

It is requested that payment, whether made by an individual or by a unit, for membership be made in one check or money order, payable to NGAT. We now offer the convenience of paying with a credit card. Please note a daytime phone number and fill in all required information as legibly as possible on the form provided.

It is also requested that these dues be forwarded to arrive this office no later than January 15, 2009. A roster is requested in the excel format that is attached. Please complete all the information so that we can update our membership records.

A few important reminders: Membership dues should match soldier’s rank, check for newly commissioned officersand warrant officers as no money will be due for 2009 if commissioned in 2008, current information including email isimperative, please provide all the information requested on the spread sheet. These rosters will be receipted and returned for unit files.

With your continued support and assistance, Tennessee can and will maintain 100% of our assigned members in for CY-2009. Please do your part in assisting us to maintain this reachable goal!

All units at Battalion and above who have attained 100% membership by January 15, 2009 will be recognized at the 80th NGAT Annual Conference, and will be awarded the NGAT Presidents 100% Membership Award.
