Tennessee Army National Guard Personnel

Procedures for retirement application: Upon reaching age 58, you are encouraged to apply for retirement benefits to begin at age 60.

Schedule an appointment for completing application and benefits briefing. You will need to take the following documents:

  • DD 214
  • 20 year letter-notification of eligibility for retired pay
  • Survivor Benefit Plan Election certificate DD1883

The Retirement Services NCO will calculate your estimated retirement pay. You will receive informational brochures for:

  • TRICARE MEDICAL BENEFITS
  • VETERANS BENEFITS
  • SURVIVOR BENEFITS

*Approximately 6 months prior to reaching age 60; you should receive confirmation of your retirement pay & start date from: U.S. Army Resources Command - St. Louis, Missouri

Upon reaching age 60, you and any current dependents that have ID cards will need to have new I.D. cards issued at a military installation. I.D. Card issuances are available daily at the Headquarters on Sidco Drive.
