The time is fast approaching for our NGAT “I Guard America” 2009 State Conference which will be held March 13-15, 2009 at the Sheraton Music City Hotel in Nashville, TN. Since we are hosting the NGAUS 2009 conference in September 2009, we are expecting a tremendous turnout for our state conference.

This year we want to do something extremely special for our contractors and vendors. We realize that you put forth a great deal of time and effort in supporting our conference, and we would like to make sure your money is well spent. To ensure all of the officers have ample time on Saturday to visit the exhibit area, COL Jeff Holmes, our NGAT President, has scheduled a block of time during the business session to visit the exhibit area. Many of you are providing the war fighting equipment that our soldiers are using and we want to make certain they have plenty of “face time” with you.

I am sure you are aware that the National Guard Association of Tennessee has one of the most active and effective “Legislative Action” programs in the country. This is an incredibly expensive activity and a major portion of legislative expense comes from corporate sponsor donations. By participating in the “I Guard America” Corporate Sponsorship Program you will be helping NGAT fund this extremely important activity.

One segment of this legislative action we offer to all our sponsors is the submission of resolutions on your behalf from NGAT. We certainly hope you can join us for our state conference. If you plan to attend, please return the enclosed registration form with the names of all individuals attending and any requirements you may need. Tables, table cloths, chairs, electrical and wireless are all included with each level of sponsorship that has
booth space. Exhibit hours are Friday from 1:00-5:00 p.m. and Saturday, 7:00 a.m.-3:00 pm with a specific time during the business session for an exhibit break out session.

As a reminder, we will be hosting our 13th Annual NGAT Four Person Golf Scramble on Thursday, March 12, 2009. If you plan to participate, please check the golf tournament comment on the registration form.
