NGATN supports programs that enable our Guard Members and their Families to reach their educational goals. Check this webpage periodically to view available scholarships, award amounts, application requirements, paperwork, and deadlines.

                                                        Scholarship Annoucement and Application

Major General Gus Hargett Scholarship (A)

The MG Gus Hargett scholarship is one (1), $5000 scholarship earmarked for an Active Member of the Tennessee National Guard who is also an Active Annual Member of NGATN. This award may be used for Graduate level classes leading to a Masters or Doctoral Degree.

Retiree Legacy Scholarship (B)

The Retiree Legacy Scholarship is one (1), $3,000 scholarship earmarked exclusively for a spouse, child or grandchild of Retired Lifetime Member of NGATN. This scholarship will be used for a first post-secondary degree or diploma.

Dependent Scholarships (C)

NGATN Foundations will present ten (10), $3,000 scholarships earmarked for Spouses and Children of Active Annual or Lifetime Members of NGATN. 

Margene Mogan Proctor and MG Jerry Wyatt Scholarship (D)

NGATN Auxiliary is sponsoring two (2) $1,500 scholarships to any spouse of a member of the Tennessee National Guard. You will receive a separate announcement with application information.

All Scholarship checks will be paid directly to the College or University of the recipient’s choice for use from their student account.
